What is your privacy policy?

We never sell or share your information with anyone period! Our system may generate or require a customer account depending on your payment method. A customer account will be generated if you use coupon or gift certificate. We do not forward your information to any Authorized Dealers without your permission. Information submitted via our website or email is for our billing and shipping purposes only.

How can I pay with American Express or Discover Card?

We only accept Visa and MasterCard direct through the shopping cart. To pay with American Express or Discover Card, choose the check out with PayPal button. It will direct you to another page where you can check out without having a paypal account. Select - "Don't have a PayPal account? Pay with your debit or credit card as a PayPal guest"

Will you mark my purchase as a"Gift" or declare a lower value?

No - We must submit the correct purchase amount on a customs form. We do not mark items as "Gift" nor can we declare a lower value - If you ask us to mark your order as a "gift", we may cancel the order and issue a refund without contacting you.

Any person who knowingly submits false or misleading export information through the Shippers Export Declaration (SED) (or any successor document) shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $10,000 per violation or imprisonment for not more than 5 years, or both. The sender's failure to complete the form properly can delay delivery of the item or inconvenience the sender and addressee. Moreover, a false, misleading, or incomplete declaration can result in the seizure or return of the item and/or in criminal or civil penalties.

Customs, Duties, and Taxes?

Orders that are shipped to countries outside of the U.S. may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country ("Import Fees"). The recipient (buyer) of an international shipment may be subject to such Import Fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient (buyer); we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.

Refusal to pay custom's fees, duties or vat resulting in the products return will have the fees deducted from any credit due.

Discount Coupons

We have discount codes which are available during promotions and entered during checkout. Discount codes are sometimes available on various websites and in magazines where we advertise. Discount Coupon codes are entered in the Redemption Code box on Step 2 of the check out process. (PayPal button is also available as a checkout method on this page). Please note: you may only use one coupon per order. Members of IPMS can find a discount code under member services on the IPMS USA website. Please include your IPMS member number in the comments section during checkout.

Payment type: I paid with PayPal eCheck - Why hasn't my order shipped?

We do not ship products paid with a PayPal eCheck until the eCheck has cleared your account. This usually takes 3-5 business days and may take even longer. Please login to your PayPal account to see if your eCheck has cleared. Thank you.

Are the products I ordered in stock?

Our shopping cart system is set to let you know when a product is out of stock. If you were able to place the order, then the item(s) were in stock.

ALL ORDERS: How do I know if my order completed?

You will receive an order confirmation email when your order completes. You will receive another email when your order ships. And one final email when we have been notified of delivery via USPS Delivery Confirmation.
If you do not receive the initial confirmation email, your order did not complete or the confirmation is in your SPAM/JUNK folder. Please contact us for assistance - you may need to place the order again.

ALL ORDERS: How soon will my order ship?

Usually the same or next business day (usually orders received after 4pm PST are shipped the next business day), occasionally, we may need to contact you prior to shipping which will delay shipping until we hear back from you. Please check your email!

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS must provide a phone number for the custom's forms.
If you do not create an account, we do not have your phone number and you must contact us or your order will be delayed!

The Post Office is closed on the following days in 2017 and orders will ship on the next business day following the holiday:

    Orders shipped USPS Priority generally take 2-3 business days and First Class take 2-5 business in the Continental US. Delivery time cannot be estimated to APO/FPO Addresses.

  • INTERNATIONAL - How soon will I receive my order?

    Our shopping cart system will give you the number of business days USPS estimates it will take for your package to arrive; this estimate does not include time in customs. This is an estimate there is no way to know how long an order will take to clear customs.

    All USPS Priority International orders have at least some insurance; please let us know if you do not receive your package in a reasonable amount of time. We have had packages received in 6 business days and one took 41 business days. The average is closer to 10 business days.

    Only Express Mail offers full tracking, $100 insurance is included in the cost - additional insurance is available please contact us as there may be an additional charge to fully cover your order. Guaranteed delivery dates not available to all countries.

    Any and all VAT Taxes or Duties are the customer's responsibility.

    All overseas customers including packages to APO/FPO addresses must provide a phone number for the custom's forms. We do not automatically receive a phone number when orders are placed using PayPal. If you have not signed up for an account, we will contact you for this information - PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL!

  • INTERNATIONAL - the shipping cost seems incredibly high is there anyway to get my order shipped for less?

    The first pound for postage is always the highest, so the more items ordered, the lower the cost per item. We only offer Priority International and Express Mail because both offer tracking and insurance (required by PayPal). Grouping an order with other modelers would reduce your overall shipping cost, so if you belong to a model club, check with others to see if this is an option. Also, please check our "Authorized Dealer" page. They offer additional model products and alternate shipping methods.

    Occasionally, if requested we will ship an item by First Class (low weight items only) or Priority Flat Rate Envelope (the items would need to fit). The decision to do so is on an individual basis and will depend on the item value and the country to which the item ships. There is tracking but no insurance so if the item is damaged, lost or stolen, there are no refunds. Please ask in advance. Thank you.

    Insurance and Signature Confirmation?

    Our shopping cart calculates postage for large orders at a higher cost. For your protection and ours, this extra cost is used for Insurance and/or Signature Confirmation at our discretion.

    INTERNATIONAL - What do I need to do to file an Insurance Claim?

    All international packages are shipped USPS Priority or Express and have at least some insurance. If you receive an article that is damaged or has some contents missing, first contact us immediately. You may need to return the item to the Post Office. Be sure to save the item, the mailing container, wrapping, packaging, and any other contents.

    The Post Office will verify the damage and have you complete a claim form. The package may have to be returned to its country of origin to complete this claim.

    I received a notice from Kalama Precision Machine - who is this?

    Kalama Precision Machine owns the Small Shop website and manufactures the Hold & Fold and other Small Shop products.
